The Truth About "Health Care"
The purpose of this page is to point out the empty promises, propaganda and outright bullshit that is being spread by presidential candidates and others regarding what is commonly known as "Medicare For All".
Please watch this video...
ISSUE #1:
The proposed Medicare For All bills in the House and Senate each guarantee that the medical, hospital and pharmaceutical industries will profit enormously by receiving monopolistic control over all health care services in the entire country.
ISSUE #2:
"Health care" is NOT a right if that health care is defined as including only the type of care authorized and approved by the government.
Benjamin Rush, one of the Founding Fathers, argued (but lost) for the inclusion of a guarantee of the freedom to choose the TYPE of care that a person could choose, but none of the Founding Fathers ever argued that the costs associated with that care should be paid for by anyone other than the person receiving the care.
The FDA and the DEA should NOT have the right to limit anyone's access to their preferred choice of health care ("alternative medicine"), nor should the CDC be able to force any form of health care (vaccinations) upon anyone against their will.
No one has an unalienable right to demand that someone else pay for something that they receive. Health care CAN become part of a social contract in which group of people COLLECTIVELY agree to share the costs associated with the care provided to all of those within the group. No one should be force to participate in such a collective venture.
ISSUE #3:
Whenever you hear or see someone discussing "Medicare For All," please realize that in order to even begin to comprehend what they might mean, you have to first understand what Medicare actually is, and what it isn't.
The current Medicare system...
1) Does not cover all health care costs (not even close)
2) Is not free (there are deductibles and co-pays)
3) Requires seniors to purchase private insurance for Medicare Part B
4) Is grossly underfunded and generates hundreds of billions of dollars of deficit spending

ISSUE #4:
There are at least three bills in Congress dealing with overhauling the health care system.
Two of the bills submitted to Congress OUTLAW private insurance that duplicates the benefits provided under the act.
Senate Bill (S. 1129):
The Senate bill is co-sponsored by Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker and others. Although Kamala Harris originally supported this Senate bill, she has changed her position and no longer supports this Medicare For All bill.

House Bill: (H.R. 1384)

On page 8 of both bills is the following:
"It shall be unlawful for
(1) a private health insurer to sell health insurance coverage that duplicates the benefits provided under this Act, or
(2) an employer to provide benefits for an employee, former employee, or the dependents of an employee or former employee that duplicate the benefits provided under this Act.

NEITHER BILL MAKES ANY MENTION WHATSOEVER REGARDING HOW UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE WILL BE FUNDED!
NEITHER BILL MAKES ANY PROVISION FOR THE WINDFALL IN SAVINGS THAT ALL EMPLOYERS WILL RECEIVE BY NOT BEING ALLOWED TO PROVIDE HEALTH CARE FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES!

A third bill (Medicare For America - H.R. 2452) is far more worthy of consideration.

ISSUE #5:
Many of the presidential candidates have submitted "plans" on their campaign websites, but they are INCREDIBLY vague.

Here are just some of the many questions that you should ask:
1) What services, procedures, and medications be included?
2) What healing modalities other than AMA approved methods will be included?
3) Will there be any requirement that payment for services rendered will be connected to positive, health enhancing outcomes?
